Topaz is your totem mineral. Native Americans believed people born of this time to be industrious, unassuming, practical, warm, and analytical. They are considerate by nature, modest, discriminating, and meticulous. They can also be fault-finding, finicky, hypocritical and fussy. Their conscious aim is to sift and strive. Topaz was considered to be the stone of expansiveness, which promotes giving and stimulates an inner glow for the person who wears it. It induces a feeling of hope. It can cause tension to flow away, it will absorb and disperse the negative vibrations of a troubled mind, and was considered to be protection against depression and insomnia. Topaz is a stone of encouragement; it helps open the minds to recognize new opportunities and stimulates both hope and joy within them and radiates these qualities to others.
